Mattoon Man Arrested for Battering Child

A Mattoon is arrested accused of battering a two year old.
Police arrested 21 year old Sean Watson October 25th in the 1400 block of Dewitt Avenue.
Authorities say the toddler wasn't hurt.
Watson remains in the Coles County jail.
A court date in this case hasn't been set.
In another matter last August, a court ruled Watson wasn't fit to stand trial for residential burglary.
