Truck Submerged In Water

Wednesday, 8 October 2014

No rain to speak of today, but rainfall is the reason a pick up truck got stuck in high water.

Charleston Fire Chief Pat Goodwin says several rescue crews, including the Lincoln Dive team, were called to a vehicle that was stranded in Whetstone Creek on Snake Trail Road Tuesday.

Officials say Debra and Divina Smith saw water on the road, didn't think it was deep, and proceeded to drive through.

Officials say the two women were not hurt, but the truck had water damage.
