Friday, 19 September 2014

A Taylorville woman is being charged with theft after police said she stole more than $70,000 dollars from her church.

Officials said Elizabeth Frisina had access to the funds while working as the secretary at the First Presbyterian Church in Taylorville.

They say Frisina was taking the money over an eight month period starting in December of 2013 and ending in August 2014.

The Taylorville Police Department said Frisina posted bond.

They said if convicted, she could face jail time.
