Police are urging you to lock your doors before leaving your home.
The Champaign Police Department says it's received multiple reports of burglaries to unlocked apartments.
Since August 15th, police 20 reports have been filed where victims say their laptops and other electronic items have been taken.
Officers have not identified any trends, but say all burglaries happened in the campus district.
Champaign police will be conducting extra patrol and encourage residents to report suspicious activity.
