Eastern Illinois University men's baskeball team for the 2013 season begins with the first pick.
EIU head coach Jay Spoonhour signed Wisconsin player Jake Verhagen as the first player in the 2013 class.
Verhagen is 6'6 and attended Appleton West High School where he averaged 16 points and seven rebounds as a junior, earning All-Fox Valley League honors.
He is rated the 26th best player in the state of Wisconsin.
Verhagen is averaging more than 12 points per game for Appleton West as a senior.
