Illinois is getting funding for alternative transportation, and could bring in more than 400 jobs! Officials say more than fifty million in federal funds will pay for more than seventy projects across the state. Governor Pat Quinn says almost two million of the funding will go toward improving pedestrian travel in Effingham County, and connecting bike paths in Shelbyville's historic district.
