Kansas School Cuts

Friday, 11 April 2014

Staff is taking cuts at this local school district to save money.

Kansas High School Principal Dwight Stricklin says teachers, non certified aids and the dean of schools will all take an eight percent pay cut.

Stricklin says teachers are taking the cuts rather than student programs to save more than $400,000.

He says he's also working on a tax referendum he hopes passes this November.

He says if the referendum does not pass the school will defintely be making cuts this time next year.
