After stints in Kansas City and Arizona, this former Eastern Illinois baseball standout is taking his talents up north.
Kevin Seitzer, Eastern's career leader in batting average, was named the new hitting coach for the Toronto Blue Jays.
Seitzer helped the Panthers finish as the National Runner-Up in division two as a freshman, and had his jersey retired by Eastern Athletics in 2012.
Before accepting the job in Toronto, Seitzer was the hitting coach for the Diamondbacks in 2006 and the Royals from 2009 to 2012.
Seitzer and the Blue Jays report to spring training in February.
