Wreaths Across America Coming to Coles County

Thursday, 11 December 2025

A national movement honoring veterans comes to Coles County this weekend.

Wreaths Across America is a massive volunteer effort that places wreaths on the graves of fallen service members, a tradition dating back to 1992.

This year, that effort is heading to Humboldt Township Cemetery on Saturday, December 13th, which is also recognized as National Wreaths Across America Day.

The ceremony starts at 10 a.m., with wreath-laying immediately after.

Organizers say you can sponsor a wreath to honor a veteran, or volunteer to help place wreaths at the cemetery, by signing at wreathsacrossamerica.org
