Court Hearing Scheduled for Robinson Man Accused of Murder

A Robinson man is expected in court Wednesday for murder.

The Illinois State Police said 24-year-old Lance T. Newcomb is facing one count of first degree murder in the death of 55-year-old Ryan Waggoner of Lerna, IL.

On June 8th, the Cumberland County Sheriff's Department requested the help of the Illinois State Police in the disappearance of Waggoner, said authorities.

On June 27th, investigators found human remains, later identified as Waggoner's, at a rural address in Crawford County, said police.

Authorities also arrested 58-year-old Angela S. Newcomb of Robinson for one count of concealment of homicidal death and one count of obstructing justice, and 52-year-old Hiley A. Schulte of Robinson for one count of concealment of homicidal death.  

Police have not released a motive.
