Some big changes are in store for the Ohio Valley Conference's upcoming season.

Conference officials announced today the OVC WILL split into divisions, next basketball season.

The changes are a result of the conference bringing Belmont in as its 12th team, the LARGEST it's ever been since it was formed in 1948.

The East division will house Eastern Kentucky, Jacksonville State, Morehead State, Tennesse State and Tennesse Tech.

The West division will include Austin Peay Eastern Illinois University, Murray State, Souteast Missouri State, SIU Edwardsville and Tennessee-Martin.

Officials say they have yet to determine how tournament seeding and bracketing will be done but the league's athletic directors will make a decision soon.
