7 a.m. | Sewing with Nancy: 30th Anniversary Special

Gail Brown, Natalie Sewell, and Eileen Roche are among the special guests that reminisce with Nancy about past TV programs and their experiences then and now on Sewing With Nancy. See touching “Creative Kindness” and “Nancy’s Corner” excerpts and hilarious TV clips and bloopers. Plus, hear from several of Nancy’s sewing fans.


6 p.m. | Under the Streetlamp: Let the Good Times Roll

With their unique style and modern “Rat Pack” persona, Under the Streetlamp brings the American Radio Songbook to a whole new level in this electrifying concert. The show includes classic hits of the 50s, 60s and 70s with the perfect balance of tender ballads and up-tempo classics, all performed with the same signature harmonies and slick dance moves that have made this group irresistible.


7:30 p.m. | Great Performances: Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers featuring Edie Brickell

Comedy legend Steve Martin is now in the fifth decade of a varied and accomplished career as a comic, actor, author and playwright. He is also a Grammy-winning, boundary-pushing bluegrass banjoist and songwriter. GREAT PERFORMANCES turns the spotlight on Martin’s musical side with a concert performance of his new collaboration with Edie Brickell, who initially burst onto the national scene in the late 80s fronting the New Bohemians.

Although these new musical partners have already built respected individual bodies of work, their inaugural effort is a charming departure, as well as a creative milestone. Backed by the virtuoso playing of the Steep Canyon Rangers, the duo partner on a series of new songs that combine Martin’s inventive five-string banjo playing with Brickell’s heart-tugging vocals to create a playful and accessible collection of songs.


9:30 p.m. | Celebration of Blues and Soul: The 1989 Inaugural Concert

Dazzling performances from some of the biggest names in rock and blues history, including Stevie Ray Vaughan, Dr. John, Bo Diddley, Ronnie Wood, Delbert McClinton, Sam Moore, Percy Sledge and more, are featured in this world television premiere of a concert taped in 1989 and presumed lost for nearly 20 years.
