Cards Looking Ahead

Tuesday, 5 November 2013

While the baseball season has ended, the National League champs are already looking forward to what's next.

The St. Louis Cardinals have offered free agent Carlos Beltran a one-year contract extension for $14.1 million.

The Birds are hopeful, but General Manager John Mozeliak says Beltran is seeking a multi-year deal elsewhere.

Beltran, who will be 36-years-old heading into the 20-14 season, put up 15 RBI's for the Cards during the postseason.
