A local haunted attraction is making the best of a less than ideal situation.
Businessman Robert Burton says a lack of sprinklers has prevented Ashmore Estates from getting a permit to hold a haunted house inside the previously storm-damaged building.
He says the alternative is a haunted trail wrapping along the edge of the property.
Weather permitting the trail will be open from 7p.m. to 12a.m. Wednesday through Sunday nights.
Money generated this year will go towards a new addition for the building.
