The Chicago Cubs have claimed outfielder Thomas Neal off waivers from the New York Yankees and transferred pitcher Rafael Dolis to the 60-day disabled list.
Neal hit .325 with two home runs and 29 RBIs in 72 games with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
He had his contract selected by the Yankees on June 14th and played in four games with the Yankees in two big league stints, collecting two hits in 11 at-bats.
He was designated for assignment on Friday.
Dolis has been on the disabled list since June 1st because of a strained right forearm.
He has no record or ERA in five relief appearances with the Cubs this season.
