Former Panther women’s basketball player Chantelle Pressley (2008-12) has signed a professional basketball contract.
Pressley will be playing with the Argentonnaises Thouars Basket 79 club of Thouars, France. Thouars plays in the Nationale 1 Feminine League.
The Lexington, Ky., native finished her four-year career with 762 points and 610 rebounds while playing in 128 games (94 starts). The forward finished her career with 93 blocks, the sixth-most in EIU single season history. Pressley also added 164 assists and 116 steals with the Panthers.
Pressley served as a graduate assistant for the Panther women’s basketball team last season, helping guide the team to an Ohio Valley Conference regular-season title and the school’s first postseason victory defeating Missouri in the opening round of the WNIT.
