Decatur police are looking for a person and vehicle responsible for a fatal accident that killed a 20 month old child.
Police responded to the accident in 2500 E. Garfield around midnight Thursday morning.
They say the toddler was hit and killed by a vehicle after the child wondered in the street.
Authorities say the suspect vehicle is a white 1990’s 4-door Ford Explorer or similar type SUV.
They say the driver fled the scene traveling west on Garfield from 2500 E. Garfield.
The suspect vehicle may have damage to the passenger front end of the vehicle.
