A Lerna man is going to jail for Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a child.
Authorities say Samuel Davis, 62, pleaded guilty to the crime Thursday.
Mattoon Police arrested Davis on February 27th after they say he sexually assaulted an 8-year-old child.
He was sentenced to 36 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
