Former EIU Player Heads to Chicago Bears

A former Eastern Illinois football player is kicking his way to the Chicago Bears roster!


The Bears announced Friday they've signed kicker Austin Signor to a three-year deal.


Signor played for Eastern Illinois from 2008 to 2009, he earned first team All Ohio Valley Conference honors as a senior in 2009.


He led the team with 76 points by connecting on 14 of 22 field goal attempts and all 34 extra points.


Signor will be competing with Robbie Gould for starting kicker this upcoming season.
