Lake Charleston gets New Playground

Wednesday, 8 November 2017

Lake Charleston may be seeing more children around the facility next summer.

City Council members okay'd a plan to build a new playground at the lake.

Charleston's Parks and Recreation director Brian Jones said the city qualifies for a grant that'll cover almost $78,000 of the almost $250,000 pricetag for the project.

Jones said the remaining costs will be paid for by the Charleston Area Charitable Foundation.

Work is scheduled to start next spring, and the equipment will be located west of the pavilion.
