Effingham Burglaries

Two suspects are in custody after several burglaries in the Effingham area.

The Effingham police department said 21-year-old Katelynn Olsen and 25-year-old Dillon Beccue are accused of taking items from vehicles parked at several locations around town including a doctor's office, the H-S-H-S St. Anthony Memorial Hospital parking area and Walmart.
 
Officers conducted a traffic stop and identified both suspects and then took them into custody.
 
Officials said Olsen is charged with retail theft, while Beccue is charged with burglary, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
 
Beccue remains in the Effingham County Jail.

Officials said if anyone has information about the vehicle burglaries or other crimes they are encouraged to call the Effingham Police Department or Crimestoppers.
