The Eastern Illinois men’s basketball team is in the midst of the offseason, but its schedule for the 2017-18 campaign is set.
The Panthers announced their new schedule which includes a highlight road game against Big Ten conference member Nebraska on Nov. 11, as well as a matchup at Marquette University.
It doesn’t get much easier beyond that either as EIU faces a team coming off an NCAA tournament appearance in San Diego State on the road Nov. 20.
There is a slight change this year as the Ohio Valley Conference has added an additional two games to the conference slate, resulting in a total of 18 OVC matchups for the Panthers.
Eastern has four senior starters returning for the new season, and fans can get their first look Nov. 6 as the team hosts Southern Indiana in an exhibition game.
