A traffic stop in Effingham leads to a major marijuana find.
The Effingham County sheriff's department says early this morning a deputy stopped Alyson Rodriguez, 40, heading eastbound on U.S. Route 40.
Officials say a sniff test was performed on the vehicle by one of their K-9's and found about 60 pounds of marijuana in the trunk, along with a small amount of cocaine in Rodriguez's purse.
Rodriguez remains in the Effingham County Jail on a 50-thousand dollar bond for cannabis trafficking.
Rodriguez returns to court February 27th.
