The University of Illinois Police Department is also looking for people to join the student patrol force.
The Patrol is made up of students who are trained by the university police department and provide additional patrol presence during the evening and early morning hours.
Patrol officers duties include walking students to their vehicles if they feel unsafe, providing extra pedestrian controls during major events, and reporting suspicious activity.
