EIU Men's Basketball Falls In OT

Wednesday, 30 November 2016

The Eastern Illinois men's basketball team put its undefeated home record on the line against Bradley and it came down to the wire.

The Panthers found momentum late in the second as Ray Crossland fought for the rebound, saved it from going out, and then found Pat Muldoon for the layup and a foul.

Eastern wasn't done rocking the house though, as Montell Goodwin hit a soaring Muusa Dama in the air, who finished with a slam to give E-I-U a five- point lead.

Regulation wasn't enough time for these two teams, and overtime didn't do Eastern any favors as the Braves got off to a nine to two run in the extra period.

Demetrius McReynolds hit the off balance three in the final moments to bring E-I-U back within two, but it wasn't enough as Bradley ran away with an 87-83 victory behind three starters scoring in double-digits.
