A Watson man authorities say was a major player in a methamphetamine-making operation is headed to prison for 12 years.

On Wednesday, 36-year-old James Erickson was sentenced for meth manufacturing.

The Effingham County Circuit Clerk's office says 36-year-old James Erickson is charged with aggravated methamphetamine manufacturing.

Officials say Erickson entered a negotiated guilty plea to making less than 15 grams of meth with children near the operation.
