Effingham Man Sentenced

An Effingham man is sentenced to 11 years in prison.

33-year-old Richard Rodgers pleaded guilty to aggravated DUI after an August 2015 car accident.

Rodgers was under the influence of more than FIVE times the amount of heroin needed to cause impairment.

Rodgers' SUV crashed into 34-year-old Justin Baker's vehicle, killing Baker and severly injuring Baker's 4-year-old step-son.
