NCAA Decision on U of I Player

The NCAA makes a ruling on the eligibility of a University of Illinois basketball player.
Forward Kipper Nichols will have to sit out the fall semester before playing for the Illini.
Nichols is a redshirt freshman who initially committed to Tulane University, but never enrolled and was granted his release to play for U of I.
The program said Nichols will be elligible to play after the end of the semester.
Nichols first game could be December 17th in the contest against Brigham Young University.
Catch Illini's season opener November 18th at the State Farm Center in Champaign, Illinois against the University of Detroit Mercy.
