Neoga Woman Pleads Guilty to Involuntary Manslaughter

Monday, 20 June 2016

A Neoga woman will be sentenced in September for her role in the death of an infant.

On Monday, 21-year-old Natasha Gordon pleaded guility to involuntary manslaughter in the death of one-year-old Arianna McNeal who was in her care back in September 2015.

The preliminary cause of death indicated drowning, but Coles County Coroner Ed Schniers says there wasn't enough definitive evidence to confirm that so the death was ruled undetermined.

Gordon will be sentenced September 16th.
