The Eastern Illinois University Board of Trustees votes to increase tuition.
EIU students will see a 1.5% increase in the fall.
Officials say that increase is only about $4, from $285 up to $289.
The increase will only apply to incoming freshman and transfer students since tuition for current students is locked in.
