If you want to get up close and personal at a fire station, here's your chance!
The Mattoon Fire Department is hosting an open house this weekend at station one on Prairie Avenue.
Assistant Fire Chief Sean Jungie says the event will give families a look at the emergency vehicles and equipment.
His department also plans some demonstrations, and to hand out information on fire safety!
The event starts at ten on Saturday.
