CHARLESTON - Charleston residents are mourning the loss of their mayor.
City officials announced that Mayor Larry Rennels died today. Details, including funeral arrangements, are pending and will be available at a later time.
Rennels was elected mayor in 2013 after serving on the City Council since 1997.
