Wednesday, 20 May 2015

The Illinois Department of Transportation plans to study ways to solve Mattoon's rail congestion problem.

State Senator Dale Righter says this is the first step in solving a problem that's caused congestion nightmares and created potential life-and-death situations for emergency responders.

Righter says on May 20th, a train sat on a track at the Marshall Avenue crossing for more than an hour which prevented people from getting to work and school.
