Road construction season is in full swing and troopers are cracking down on work zone violations.
The Illinois State Police say they'll be looking for violations including speeding and distracted driving, whether or not workers are present in construction zones.
They say 90 percent of all work zone fatalities are actually drivers.
Last year 29 people, including three workers, were killed in work zone crashes.
