A University of Illinois student who participated in the Boston Marathon gave a bit of hope to a family who

remembered a loved one who died in the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.

Tatyana McFadden, who won the her third straight womens wheelchair victory, gave the gold laurel wreath she

won to the family of the 8-year-old boy killed in the Boston Marathon.

Martin Richard was killed at the 2013 Boston Marathon in the finish line bombing.

The Richards family says they are honored to call her a friend.

Tatyana is a four-time Paralympian and the champion of the Chicago, New York City, and London marathons.
