A Mattoon man accused of beating a man to death is scheduled to stand trial later this month.
25-year-old Joshua Mefford is charged with the murder of 58-year-old Robert Montague.
Mefford was arrested September 9th 2012 after police found Montague's body in a hotel room at the U.S. Grant motel on Lake Land Boulevard in Mattoon.
Autopsy results show Montague died from blunt force trauma to the head.
Mefford's jury trial is set for April 29th.
