It's not a brand new building, but a local health center will reveal some major rennovations to the public this weekend!

The work at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon started nearly three years ago and cost an estimated $50 million.

Hospital officials say improvements include an expanded emergency department, rennovated surgery suites and updates to the facility's laboratory services.

An open house to "show off" the improvements is planned Sunday at three.

Officials say guided tours and refreshments will be served.

From an open house to an open invitation to those of you with musical talents!

Individuals who like to sing are being asked to participate in a newly formed Care Choir.

The Care Choir is organized by Eastern Illinois University's Academy of Lifelong Learning.

The choir is used to provide comfort to hospice patients and their families through music.

People interested in learning more are invited to attend an informational meeting at one on April 18th, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Lincolnland Hospice.
