Friday, 27 March 2015

Illinois residents can get advice on protecting their trees from killer beetles.

The Charleston Tree Commission is hosting an informational meeting tomorrow on Emerald Ash Borers.

Officials say the beetle's larvae burrows into ash bark and kills the tree.

Scott Schirmer the Coordinator for the Illinois Department of Agriculture is the guest speaker.

The meeting will take place at the Charleston Carneige Public Library starting at ten in the morning.
