Charleston Police have arrested Robert Joseph Pettis II, 21, for aggravated robbery.
Police say around 3 a.m. Friday, a Jimmy John's driver was making a delivery in the 2000 block of Bostic Drive when Pettis approached him from behind and had what the victim believed was a knife pressed into his side.
The driver says he gave his cash to the suspect.
Pettis remains in the Coles County jail.
He's listed on the 2012 Eastern Illinois University Panther football roster as a running back.
