Until a killer is caught, some local bar owners say business will not be as usual. Since Monday night, Mattoon police have been searching for a killer. They say a person walked into Toaster's bar and shot bartender Benjamin Newton in the head. Authorities have talked to numerous people and have posted some surveillance pictures on social media websites in hopes of tracking down the person responsible. But until a suspect is caught, some local bar owners say the daily job puts them a bit on edge. Toaster's Pub has since re-opened. Visitation and a mass of Christian Burial for Benjamin Newton will take place Saturday at 12pm at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Mattoon.
