Hutsonville School District Cuts

Thursday, 21 March 2013

No money from the state translates into more local school cuts.

This week, Hutsonville schools had to let go a couple of teachers and aids.

Superintendent Julie Kraemer says the district was supposed to receive nearly $300,000 from the state this fiscal year, but so far that hasn't happened.

Along with staff cuts, Kraemer says students will now have to start paying an athletic fee and sports teams will be coached by one person.
