The timetable for Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose to return from a torn meniscus could be shorter than expected.
General manager Gar Forman announced today that Rose will be out four to six weeks and the Bulls expect him to play again this season.
Rather than having his meniscus repaired like last season when he missed 72 games, the team physician simply removed the damaged portion, which reduces recovery time.
