Icy Roofs

While we haven't seen as much as the northeast, we've still got our fair share of snow in East Central Illinois! As the temperature goes above and below freezing within a week, snow and ice can melt and refreeze; especially in a place more peculiar than roadways and sidewalks. Local Business Owner Ed Carter says while collapsing roofs are becoming a large problem for residents in Boston, our area would need an accumulating snow of about two feet to start causing cave-in problems.
