The University of Illinois men's basketball team will take their at-large bid in the NCAA Tournament into a matchup with No. 10 seed Colorado on Friday afternoon.
The tourney appearance comes as a result of a 22-12 (8-10 Big Ten) season in which the Fighting Illini knocked off the former number one team in the land, Indiana University.
First-year Illinois coach John Groce says he's just happy the team's senior players get one more shot at a postseason run.
They face a 21-11 (10-8 Pac-12) Buffaloes squad that is coming off a quarterfinal loss to the University of Arizona last Thursday.
The game is set to tip-off at 3:40 p.m Friday in Austin, Texas.
