EIU / Lake Land Transfer Agreement

Friday, 23 January 2015

New incentives! That's what's coming from a newly established agreement between Eastern Illinois University and Lake Land College. The opportunities stem from a reverse-transfer articulation agreement. And Lake Land College president Dr. Jonathan Bullock says the agreement offers huge opportunities to local students choosing to further their collegiate education. EIU transfer coordinator Rita Pearson says the agreement will benefit Eastern's transfer students from Lake Land as well as other students who decide to make the move to Eastern. Pearson says only about a quarter of Easter's Community College transfer students have obtained their Associates degree. And she says they want to make it possible for THOSE students to get the Associates degree after they've started working toward their bachelors. Pearson says as long students have met the requirements at the community college credit can be sent back for graduation.
