A Scott County Illinois man is facing felony charges for a crash that killed an Effingham woman.
The Effingham County state's attorney says 60-year-old John Adams is accused of aggravated driving while under the influence of drugs.
Authorities say on October 17th, Adams pulled his semi-truck into an Interstate-57 passing lane north of Effingham.
They say Adams then attempted to turn into a medium, but didn't fully complete his turn.
Police say that's when a collision occured with a car driven by 23-year-old Brianne Martin of Effingham.
Adams was arrested at his hom in Bluffs Illinois Wednesday morning.
He's currently in the Pike County jail awaiting transfer to Effingham County.
