A Champaign County city is saying no to puffing on the playground.
Champaign-Urbana Public Health District Special Projects Coordinator Tara McCauley says on January 1, the city of Tolono will put a ban on smoking in all village parks.
McCauley says violators will get a twenty five dollar fine for the first violation, a 50 dollar fine for the second, and up to a five hundred fine for the third and subsequent violations.
She says the ban took place because of second hand smoke concern, as well as litter from cigarette butts.
