Save Kansas School

Thursday, 30 October 2014

Maxine Vail has lived in Kansas for several years and is a big supporter of this tax. She says it won't last forever just the next three years. Superintendent Dwight Stricklin says he hopes that will buy the school district enough time for Illinois lawmakers to come up with the money owed to the district. But if it doesn't pass Stricklin fears school will have to close displacing about 212 students. Parent of a seventh grader Vicky Adams says if the school had to close and students had to transfer the move would be difficult for her son. Stricklin says he just hopes that doesn't happen not to the Adams family or any family in the district.
