The bids to convert a former bank into Effingham's new Helen Matthes Library are in!
Library Director Amanda McKay says the library received eight bids today from construction companies ... but have not yet awarded a contract.
McKay says the project is estimated to cost about $3 million and she says all bids were in that range.
McKay says the construction should start in December of this year and hopes it will be complete by June.
