After a win in week one against Rantoul for the Charleston Trojans, they hit a wall against Mt. Vernon.
Charleston kept it close, only down six entering the 4th quarter, but the Rams scored 22 in the final frame to bury the Trojans 28-o.
Matoon did not fare as well, losing by 32 to Civic Memorial High School.
Charleston is 1-1 on the year while Mattoon drops to 0-2.
